Little Tides Under 5’s

🌊 Little Tides - Can I fall in love with gymnastics?
Under 5s | 45 minutes
Little Tides is where the adventure begins.
Designed especially for our youngest gymnasts, these sessions introduce children to gymnastics through movement, exploration and play. With smaller groups and plenty of encouragement, children develop their balance, coordination, strength and confidence while learning the foundations of gymnastics.
The focus at this stage is simple: move, explore, build confidence and fall in love with gymnastics.
Parents stay and watch during Little Tides sessions.

Starfish
-
⭐ Starfish - Can I build my foundations?
Approx. 5½–7 years | 1 hour
Starfish bridges the gap between our early-years programme and more structured gymnastics.
Sessions retain the energy and fun our younger gymnasts love, while introducing more technical gymnastics. Children begin developing skills such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands and introductory apparatus work, alongside strength, flexibility and coordination.
We also begin encouraging greater independence, listening skills and confidence in training.
This is where playing gymnastics starts becoming learning gymnastics.

Deep-Sea Divers
-
🤿 Deep Sea Divers - Can I become a gymnast?
Approx. 7–9 years | 1 hour
Deep Sea Divers is where gymnastics starts to become more purposeful.
With strong foundations underneath them, gymnasts are challenged to develop cleaner technique, greater strength and flexibility, more complex skills and increased confidence across the apparatus.
Sessions are still energetic and enjoyable, but expectations begin to grow. Gymnasts learn that progress comes from focus, repetition and consistency.
Our coaches use the Rise Gymnastics framework to help guide and monitor development, while gymnasts showing the right combination of ability, attitude and enthusiasm may begin exploring our competition pathway.
This is where foundations turn into real gymnastics.

Tidal Waves - Ages 9 to 12 Years
-
🌊 Tidal Waves - How good can I become?
Approx. 9–12 years | Development & Competition Pathway
Tidal Waves is for gymnasts who want to go deeper.
Training is more technical, deliberate and detailed than our recreational pathway. There is greater emphasis on body shapes, execution, strength, flexibility, conditioning, floor work and the repetition required to turn a skill into a polished performance.
Gymnasts may work towards competitions and routines, but Tidal Waves isn't simply about finding the children who can already perform the hardest skills.
We're looking for something equally important: the desire to learn.
Some naturally talented gymnasts may prefer the freedom and energy of Riptides. Others thrive on the detail, discipline and slower process of mastering gymnastics. Tidal Waves exists for the latter.
Our coaches use the Rise Gymnastics framework alongside their own assessment to monitor each gymnast's development and help determine their individual pathway.
Tidal Waves isn't about being better than everyone else. It's about wanting to become better than you were yesterday.
Tidal Waves Squad Pathway
Selected Tidal Waves gymnasts may be invited into our extended squad training programme.
Squad gymnasts train for increased hours each week, giving them additional time for technical development, conditioning, routines and competition preparation.
Squad places reflect ability, attitude, consistency and commitment - not ability alone.
Riptides and Riptides +
-
🌊 Riptides - What can I learn to do?
Approx. 9/10–14 years | 1½ hours
Riptides is our high-energy recreational programme for older gymnasts - from complete beginners to experienced athletes.
Rather than separating children purely by ability, we coach appropriate progressions within a mature, mixed-ability environment. Gymnasts are encouraged to have greater ownership of their training and tell us about the skills they would love to achieve.
Expect more challenging gymnastics, acrobatics, tumbling, strength and plenty of opportunities to work towards exciting new skills.
We expect focus and effort, but Riptides isn't about competition. It's about challenge, freedom and discovering what you’re capable of

⚡ Riptides Plus - How far can I push my skills?
Older Gymnasts | Featuring Parkour
Riptides Plus takes the freedom and energy of Riptides and turns it up a level.
Alongside gymnastics and tumbling, gymnasts explore parkour-inspired movement - developing agility, power, spatial awareness, creativity and confidence through dynamic challenges around the gym.
There is less emphasis on competition technique and more emphasis on movement: jumping, flipping, vaulting, tumbling, connecting skills and learning to move confidently through the environment.
It's ideal for older gymnasts who want more training without necessarily following a competitive pathway.
